Qualifying Business
The business must be innovative, have the potential for growth, and be able to create jobs for Canadians.
• Up to 5 co-founders can apply as owners
• Each applicant must hold at least 10% of the voting shares
Support from a Designated Organization
You’ll need to secure a Letter of Support from an approved Canadian incubator, angel investor group, or venture capital fund. This validates your idea and proves your readiness to launch and grow.
Language Proficiency
You must demonstrate basic proficiency in English or French. A minimum of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 in speaking, reading, writing, and listening is required.
